The idea behind the Symposium
The basic idea of the student symposium is to bring together students of logistics and international business from different countries for the exchange of ideas, concepts and experiences.
The International students’ symposium on logistics and international business (ISSLIB) has become a distinguished event.
This years’ symposium will take place in Cracow. Our host is the
Mechanical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology.
Title of the Symposium
Digital technologies for logistics and supply chain
The papers will be published in the Scientific Journal Systemy Wspomagania w Inżynierii Produkcji.
We’re all aware that the Digital Transformation of Logistics & Supply chains is inevitable.
The “new normal” is showing us, that business needs to be way more efficient and flexible.
Which technologies will run the future of logistics & supply chain. Are the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, 3D printer, robotization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality and virtual space only new buzz words or will they run the industry?
We are inviting students to address these issues, prepare the paper and present it at the symposium.
The conference is free of charge for Erasmus BIP participants after signing the agreement and cooperating Universities. The BIP participants will pay for their own cost of accommodation (approximately total cost is 50 Euro per person) and lunch (approximately total cost is 40 Euro per person). The rest costs (conference materials, industry trip, city tour, workshops, paper publications, coffee breaks, supper, etc.) are covered by the BIP founds and organizators founds. Cost for the not BIP participant/cooperated Universities with accommodation and full meals 250 Euro.
Accommodation the participant students will be placed at the Cracow University of Technology in students’ Dormitory (see website).

It contains materials that are a result of research conducted by scientists from Poland and from abroad. In order to extend the number of readers since 2009 the journal has been published in English. The high quality of the journal is confirmed by the results of the assessment made by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and other independent entities (e.g. Index Copernicus).
- Systemy Wspomagania w Inżynierii Produkcji (ISSN 2391-9361), web page. The journal aims to develop theory and disseminate knowledge for developing and promoting innovative solutions of production engineering; exchanging experience between theoreticians and practitioners applying the methodology of production engineering in the industrial sector, including rendering services, and supporting sound decision making.
